Volunteering

How to Help
The success of the Boston Tea Party Meet will depend upon volunteers performing a number of functions including: hosted housing, event timing, manning the awards and registration tables, manning concession stands and many others. No prior experience is necessary for any of these volunteer positions. If you are kind enough to donate your valuable time, we will train you and put you to very good use. If you are able to help, please contact our Volunteers Coordinator.

Help Needed: Timers
We need slews of timers to help out the day of the meet. NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY -- we will train you the morning of the meet. You will be paired-up with another timer and assigned to one of the pool's lanes, where you'll verify swimmers' names, time their races and record the results. You'll have the best seat in the house for the action in the pool and a great opportunity to meet the swimmers. We ask that you stay for at least four hours and lunch will be provided for those who stay for the duration of the meet (~7-8 hours).

Help Needed: Hosts
Please consider welcoming a visiting swimmer into your home for the meet weekend. Boston is an expensive place to stay and many athletes will take advantage of hosted housing to help defray the costs – as well as make new friends. Hosts typically provide housing for Friday, May 2 through Sunday, May 4 are not expected to provide meals, transportation or entertainment for their guests.
